ALWAYS LIKE NEW
WITH THE SALAMANDER CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Even professionals can hardly distinguish the look and feel of our profile surfaces from wood. But the difference stands out: our profiles may look like wood, but they don't grey, crack, swell, rot or splinter. In additional, they are especially slip-resistant, which makes them perfect for use outdoors, for terrace flooring, pools and wellness areas.
Because of its unique material quality, the substance used to make the profiles stands out because of its high mechanical stability and thermal resistance. Maintenance is therefore minimal, because dirt and small scratches can be easily removed.
SALAMANDER CARE INSTRUCTIONS
/// MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Because of the open structure of the surfaces, dirt can be deposited (e.g. wastewater stains). However, it only sticks to the surface and can be removed with a gentle water stream (e.g. a garden hose), a soft brush or a high-pressure cleaner (suitable distance, approx. 30cm). Stubborn stains can be removed from unvarnished natural boards by gently rubbing them. Additional maintenance effort is not necessary.
/// COLOUR STAINING AND PROTECTIVE SEALING
Because of the sealed surfaces on colour-stained boards, stains can be prevented, as a closed surface structure prevents the depositing of dirt particles. The FVG stains and RFS seals are specially tailored to the Salamander outdoor profile surfaces. Please only use these products for the surfaces of Salamander outdoor profiles.
/// GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
We recommend thoroughly cleaning your terrace twice a year and removing organic matter such as foliage and leaves, because these form a basis for mould spores, which could lead to staining.
Facade profiles should be checked yearly for damage.
Full-surface doormats or rubber mats may leave residue on your terrace or lead to staining, which can be removed by cleaning. With colour-stained boards, the colour can be adjusted again by refreshing it.
